Terms and Conditions
1. Clients must read and agree to Scotstoun Small Pet Boarding, (hereonafter known as SSPB) terms and conditions before boarding commences.
2. Drop-off and collection times are by appointment only. They are between 9am and 12 Noon, Monday to Saturday. SSPB is closed to drop offs and collections on Sundays. We do no offer a pick-up service.
3. All animals are supplied with a cage or enclosure suitable for the pet type. They will be provided with fresh water, food, bedding, and stimulation. Cages will be kept clean for the duration of their stay.
4. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure their pet is free of mites or any other infestations prior to boarding.
5. Unwell animals and pregnant animals may be refused boarding.
6. SSPB can administer routine medication where necessary. Owners must provide full instructions and provide enough medication for the duration of their pet's stay. SSPB is not liable for the decline of health or any incident in relation to the administering of medication.
7. Pets must be collected at the agreed date and time. If owners are delayed, they must contact SSPB as soon as possible. Pets not collected on time may be charged for that day.
Pets left in the care of SSPB past the agreed date where the client has not been in contact will be charged twice the standard daily rate. If, after 7 days, the clients have not been in contact we will begin re-homing proceedings. Pets, along with the owner's details, will be handed over to the SSPCA or alternative re-homing centre. Clients will be billed for any costs incurred. Non-payment may result in court proceedings.
8. If a client wishes to collect a pet before their scheduled check out date, no partial refunds will be issued.
9. If a pet becomes ill in our care we will not hesitate to seek medical attention. We will always attempt to contact the owners first. If contact cannot be made the client agrees that all medical decisions can be made by SSPB on their behalf. SSPB will always seek the advice of a competent veterinary practitioner and all decisions will be made in the best interest of the animal. The client agrees to pay any and all veterinary costs before their pet is collected. Failure to pay any incurred bills may result in court proceedings.
10. It is possible for small pets to pass away suddenly without warning and without showing any symptoms. In the unlikely event that your pet passes away you will be notified immediately. SSPB accepts no responsibility for your pet becoming ill or passing away whilst in our care.
11. Unlike dog or cat kennels, small boarding facilities do not require a license. All pets are left at the owner's risk.
12. SSPB has Public Liability Insurance and associated business related home insurance cover. As with any insurance, Terms and conditions apply. In the event that your animal becomes ill or passes away in our care and any subsequent insurance claim is declined, SSPB is released from any and all responsibility.
13. Boarding is only confirmed upon receipt of a completed boarding form and full upfront payment. All clients must confirm they have read and agree to the terms and conditions. A booking is not confirmed until these criteria are met.
14. For everyone's safety our front door and hallway are covered by security cameras. Footage will not be used for anything other than boarding-related purposes.
15. Cancellation policy:
10 days notice - Full refund
6 - 9 days notice - Full refund MINUS 1 night's stay
3 - 5 days notice - 50% refund
0 - 2 days notice - Non-refundable
16. Bereavement Policy
If your pet sadly passes away prior to your stay - even the night before or day of drop-off - we will issue a 100% full refund with no cancellation fees.
If you are boarding a pair/group and one pet passes away, we will adjust your total where necessary and refund the difference for the pet who is no longer able to stay.
